not sure - going to contact the courts to check.

 

to be honest I've been very busy (accountancy exams!) so havent really had time to chase it for a bit.

 

Can we request judgment if the AQ wasnt returned in time / at all?

 

Presume thats why we haven't received a court date?:?

Charge deducted from account 27/6

6 yrs statements received 25/8

Prelim sent 30/8 (£1014 charges + £156.11 interest).

Std reply & complaints leaflet received 5/9

No reply to LBA - MCOL requested 26/9

Offer received 26/9 - £218.

MCOL issued 26/9, acknowledged 29/9

Neil, not heard from you in a while, but wanted to let you know that Halifax called me and settled in full on Tuesday - court date is/was 8th Feb, so hang in there :)

Hiya,

 

good for you! That's fantastic, and gives us hope. We sent our letter, didn't get a reply - obviously Halifax have decided not to accept our very reasonable offer, and to push it as far as they can. However, we now have a court date for May, so finger's crossed.

Just letting you all know that ~ one week before the court date, Halifax phoned us and settled in full - 'to save on court costs'.

 

NB: this is charges, plus interest, plus 8% court interest.

 

Now we have had this in writing, and had the money in our bank account, we can breathe easily!
