Central ticketing, parking ticket

Got a ticket off these today from parking outside my work, there are double yellows about, but i wasnt parked on or touching them i was on the curb which has some grass and a wide path, not obstructing anything or anyone, colleagues of mine also got the ticket. I spoke to my colleagues when we got too our cars and they said as we were parked on the path or kurb, it wasnt actually illegal, if it was a council fine id have probably payed up, but i searched the name and saw alot of bad news on these.

No its not, but it is down an industrial estate, im going to speak to the gaffer at work tomorrow, as we are told to park there as the car park is used for fulltime staff (im agency)

Im not actually sure about the bit i was on, as our work place is a fair bit out the way, with a little bay coming off the road where everyone was parked.

No. It's an enforceable charge. It's a trick. They just send out threatening junkmail and hope you'll pay up voluntarily.

 

All you have is an unenforceable invoice.

 

Yellow lines have no status on private land. They might as well have put down 4 pink stripes.

As for the sign, would you be paying if it said £1000 or £10,000? They only make sixty odd quid because people are daft enough to pay it.

 

Central Ticketing are a well known outfit, easily ignored.

Another company with delusions of grandeur. Hence the phrase "It is an offence for an unauthorised person to remove or interfere with this notice".

 

They really think they have the same status as the police or the council.
