There is a flaw in the business model of all DCA's in that they are chasing unsecured debt.

Didn't matter too much when there was enough money around as they could always scare enough money out of people to make a profit.

However they are mostly chasing non priority debts. They get a share of what's left after rent/mortgage, reasonable living expenses, utilities, goverment and local goverment debts etc. (Even judges understand that). What's left isn't enough to support the number of DCA's and the army of parasites who have jumped on the bandwagon over the years.

No doubt many DCA's are scrambling to get more priority debt work however most priority debt holders, (by virtue of the nature of the debt), don't actually really need a DCA

Still I suppose they can always collect each others forthcoming debts.

How about Equidebt (ECI, CAS) and it's disguises??

The original Equidebt group was dissolved in Jan last year when it hit the skids and went through a kind of revamp.

The crap that rose from the ashes was getting it's funding from.....wait for it...... Lloyds TSB, which now belongs to us.

KBC Bank, the Belgian bank where most of the money went, is also one of those in dire straits and looking to ditch the debt.

Are Equidebt on the list of DCA's/Purchasers teetering on the brink of the toilet pan??? I suspect their funding and credit line for purchasing will have dried up by now.

They don't seem to be mentioned so much on these threads in recent months.

HOIST BY THEIR OWN PETARD.

Blimey it works....:-)
