Hi i am just about to send the prelim to first direct and looking to the future wondering how exactly you calculate the interest claimed. i have seen the reply above ie

 

Total charges being claimed times 0.08 / 365 i take it you then times this amount by the number of days since the bank first started to levy charges?

Hi if you look in bank templates there is a section on spreadsheets which helpls you calcualte the interest. I used this.

Good thing is to start your own thread as well so people can keep up to where you are.

It does feel rather good. Its a good savings setup.

 

Did anyone see it on "this morning" this morning, Martin from moneysavingexpert.com said that you will be able to get away with it until they actually have to reduce their charges.....
