Truth be told, the only reason our emergency fund was enough to sustain us. Initially, we were going to use that money to pay off most of our debt. As it worked out, we needed it for living expenses.

*You need to have a financial windfall come your way to save an emergency fund.

*It is important to save at least a little income, so you get into the habit of savings.

*Seeing your small savings grow can often serve as encouragement to try to save more.

Interesting thought.

However, how is one able to save on an income of £59.15 per week?

Actually, how does one live on that amount?

Income Support amount. 16 hours earning minimum wage would entitle you to working tax credits (does not just apply to those with children). You can make yourself better off but only if you want to!
