Just wondering if anyone can tell me --- how long a CCJ stays on your credit file for --

is it 6 years from the date of judgement or 6 years from the date of last payment clearing the debt??

Many thanks.

Halifax - £2281, successfully refunded all charges after LBA letter & telephone call.

Have been offered the difference between the £20 and £12 charges from Capital One -- am sending LBA for remainder.

GE Money - Received settlement of £441, being total charges requested. No interest though.

CCA'd Bank of Scotland / Blair Oliver Scott to produce CCA Agreements on two Credit Cards - well in default, although still chasing payment!!!

EOS Solutions "ceased action on account" on behalf of a friend.

All in all, quite busy at the moment and enjoying every minute of it

Thanks Nannamoon - so if a CCJ takes longer than the six years to pay -- it will still "drop off" your files after the six years, is that right???

Ahhhh thanks stebiz,

believe me I am nannamoon, I loathe paying the CCJ.

I do have another debt going back to 1993 who claim that a CCJ was issued, but the Idiots claim that the CCJ was on my own admission, but they have just messed their chances up as they claim I sent the admission form form one address which I could not have done as I had moved from that address 3 months prior to the date they say the admission form was sent.

I have just got hard evidence from the Council (we were in a Council property back then) that proves where I was living.

I am now going to take them to court for unlawfully taking my money for 14 years and being untruthful by saying that they took me to court and they never.
