I havent received any communication from anybody as of yet since I went to MCOL and I will wait to press the button so that there has been enough time for them to register their defence before the deadline allowing a bit of an overlap to avoid having judgement set aside.

There was a letter from MCOL waiting for me today when i got home saying they were going to defend the case and that proceedings had been moved to my local court just as predicted they leave it to the last minute

Ah well, just a delaying tatic, they will pay in the end, it will just a bit longer. The AQ will arrive, deal with it ASAP, then you will be on your way.

AQ has arrived and I have until the 14th April to return it to the court what is the fee for a claim of nearly £500.00 does any one know

They have agreed to settle in full out of court to be done in 28 days or i can resume case

Well done Carl. We have just received a final offer from Slans (GE Money's solicitors) today. They are in a bit of a hurry as they are due to submit their (delayed) defence tomorrow.

 

We told them that we would accept the offer but refused to sign the draft order and confidentiality agreement they sent. We told them WE would inform the court that the matter was setteld once we had cleared funds - as suggested above.

 

They are in a bit of alceft stick - if they don't respond positiveley today I can apply for judgement tomorrow - sweet!

Well im still waiting for the cheque at this rate ill have restart the proceedings its true what i have read in the posts that they tend to be a bit sloppy. Lets wait and see

Carl, unfortunately patience is not only a virtue on this site it is also a necessity.

Maybe the cheque got lost in the post have you tried to contact them regarding this! If it is this a store card, they have credited it to your account have you checked it. Do let us know!

This was a car loan which has been paid off already I will contact the solicitors on Monday and see how we are getting on

No news is good news, I take it!

The latest update is that the court has lost the consent form, a duplicate set have been sent for approval and sealing which takes about 3 weeks and then i have to allow them that is ge 28 days to pay the money. There is a bit more interest they have earned by not paying out albeit not their fault. So the waiting continues. Now to take on Capital One (whats in their wallet, our money)

Well would you believe the court has lost another consent form but a third one has been sent and now sealed and approved 17/5/07 now i have to wait 28 days to get the cheque well in theory any way
