Hi

I’m just looking for some clarity on rejecting a brand new car

History:

30th September purchased new MG4
1st October collected and drove ~90 miles

5th October drove it ~20 miles

6th October Saw some oil drips on driveway on called dealer, they advised calling MG recovery, they sent AA who advised the car should be recovered to an MG dealer, this was done that day. Not the dealer we purchased it from as they were further away.
7th October emailed dealer notifying issue and advising I may reject the car if issue not dealt with.

A few calls later

14th October the garage confirmed they need some parts that might fix the issue, but 2-4 weeks lead time to get them.

So we have decided we don’t want the car. Do I just need to write to the dealer confirming the fact and advise they will need to recover it as it is currently off the road?

How long should I expect to wait to get the cash back?

Thanks

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

No set legal time but should be very quick. Less than 14 days or else start getting worried

Thanks letter has been sent in to them. I hit an email back saying they would investigate my concern. It was promptly responded to confirming they can call it what they like but it’s been rejected. I’ve been told I will get confirmation by 2pm tomorrow so I’ll wait and see.
