Hi,

Just after some general advice.

DPD have delivered my parcel to the wrong address.

Their tracking shows it being delivered and signed for with my name, however the photo of the front door in the tracking is not mine.  No door number shows.

Have contacted and advised the sender.  They have contacted DPD and started an investigation.

Is there anything else that I need to do at this stage.

Thanks.

Get in touch with the seller immediately, tell them you have not received the goods and you either want a second delivery or your money back.

They contracted DPD not you, the proof of delivery (POD) clearly shows the incorrect address.

Oops, just read that you have done this already, in that case I would be firm with the seller and insist on that refund - how did you pay?

Was the sender actually a seller? Who was the seller?

If there was a seller then they would be liable – but of course if they're not in the UK it could cause problems.
You should certainly begin a formal complaints process with DPD – but don't wait too long two weeks or three weeks at the very outside and if either they don't respond or if they knock you back then come back here.

In the meantime you might like the spend time reading the Hermes stories on this sub- forum because it will be very similar.

You haven't told us what was in the parcel or what the value was

Seller and Sender are Medisave UK, goods were medical wipes, value £23.

Nothing very major but as classed as Clinically Vulnerable, vital.

Paid via PayPal

Well you could open up a dispute with PayPal and try to get a refund.

Simply tell PayPal that the goods were ordered and never arrived.

But in the meantime, run a parallel claim with DPD and see what happens.

Although it's only 23 quid, it's your money and not theirs and it's worth chasing. We will help you

Glad to sat that we have a happy ending.

The person that these were left at has just dropped them off.

All sorted out now.

Thanks for letting us know.

I'm getting a bit worried. This is about the third courier -related happy ending that we've had in a very few days. Maybe we going to have no one left to sue 😟
