my son took out a personal loan for a car he already had a car but his girlfriend needed one for work and as she hadn't had a job for a while was struggling to get credit anyway to cut a story, he got the loan and they paid cash for the car that he took from his own bank account the log book was put into her name they've since split up and he has saw the car is up for sale so my question really is does he have any rights over the vehicle given that he has at least another 2 years paying the loan back for a car he has no access to? he can prove he took the loan and withdrew the cash on the day she signed the log book to put it into her name

By the sounds of it, just about the only thing he can do is issue a civil claim in the county court. But, I'd say that without any paperwork, it'll be a long shot that he'd win. Sorry.

Please note that my posts are my opinion only and should not be taken as any kind of legal advice.
In fact, they're probably just waffling and can be quite safely and completely ignored as you wish.
