H can anybody help me, I've just been moved over to Support Group on ESA, Do i have to get intouch and tell child tax credit about this change please? just dont want to be stuck owing them money in a month or so. thank you clare

It usually on your letters from DWP. Or you can call them and ask. The group isn't relevant to tax credits.

Hi Twinkle. I don't know a lot about tax credits, but blonde bubbles does. What they are saying is that tax credits need to know if you're on income based [iR] or contribution based [CB] ESA. I'll try to find you a link, but you may need to ask the DWP.

I wasn't telling you not to post here.

 

You were asking if tax credits needs to know that you've changed from work group to support group, I was telling you that they don't need to know which group as it isn't relevant to your tax credit claim.

I came on here for help. I basicaly gave my life story in my first message to try to explain things what have happened to me whichs just coming to my attention lately, With my Bank and Insurance ,Screwing me over. I admited im thick with anything remotely confusing,I bury my head. Panic. I ve got to 39 ,With out needing that much help from anyone. But now i WANT to understand. And fight back for all the years ive been screwed over. And I just can't seem to get anywhere. I KNOW my bank owes me. And Millenium Brokers. I saw it on a list of banks who had been confirmed. Which were Millenium Insurance Brokers ltd. and Think Money Group. Thats who im with. I was going to go with a company who deals with it all. But thought id sooner come on here, Educate myself at the same time, AND if im lucky enough to get anywhere. Id sooner donate to this group with the support it has for people, Rather than it go to anyone else . After my first question about the bank. And believe me u would have no idea how hard it was for ne to write it. I log on to a comment of OUCH! Spellings Please. Can You Tidy This Up, Thankfuly a member helped me out. Then i post here. Surely itd be nicer to just say hi, Do you meen this. Or this. Bcoz. Tax goes by income related or. Then just explained it abit if your good with Tax etc. Rather than make me feel thick. For not having a clue. It may as well be french to me. I dont even know if im answering people in the right box. Quick reply/link/ post link. I havent a clue. Im sorry for seeming ignorent. Im not

I'm sorry but I don't see how I have made you feel thick. All you asked on this thread was if you need to tell them you've changed from work to support group. You havent mentioned anything else about your life.

 

I answered your question by saying thay they don't need to know which group you are in. They only need to know if you are on income based or contributions based ESA. I don't deal with ESA so I can't tell you which one you would be on. I can only give help from the tax credit side.

 

When you claimed tax credits the forms would have asked whether you were on income based or contributions based ESA so I assumed you would know which one that's why I mentioned it.

 

I also said if you weren't sure then your letters from them might tell you or you could ask them.

 

If your not happy with what I have said then you can call tax credits and they can help you.

No mention of spelling errors.

At the time it was all one block of text which made it extremely difficult to read. If we cant read it then we cannot ask questions about what we do or do not understand. There was no mention of you being thick and actually "big blocks of text" get typed here a lot, so do not take it personal. All that was said was a statement of fact which needed addressing so that your post could be made readable by more people in order to increase the amount of people that can help you.

Also the "person who made you feel thick" was also the person that flagged the post to get a site team member to assist you.

 

Please remember, people like me and also the site team are volunteers. If people make false accusations to people trying to help then that reduces the goodwill of those people to try and help.

 

I am disapointed that you feel that i made you appear "thick" and upset that you state I made a comment about "Spellings" when I did not do so. Especially considering my own spelling can be very bad at times and I also understand things such as dyslexia etc. As I have offended you I shall avoid your threads form now on.

 

I hope you get the right advice and also wish you good luck against those that owe you money. I look forward to seeing your threads with **won** tags in the future

Do I now understand, Hell No , Why don't they have websites with all there information in broken down ENGLISH?, For thickos like me, I did go onto the website last night, Read it, Then kind of got side tracked onto Gas and Lecky and Home Improvement stuff, But there wasn't anything on that page, I got a letter today of them, Which made no sence to me at all, I'll get it and type what it says.

If you struggle with the letters then honestly I think the easiest thing for you to do is to call DWP and ask if you are on income based or contribution based ESA.

 

Then call tax credits and check that they have the correct one. (Your tax credit awards notice should also show this).

 

If you are on income based, all they need is the dates it started, they don't need amounts.

 

If you are on contributions based, they need a rough estimate of how much you expect to get for ESA from April 2014 to April 2015. Again if calling DWP they should be able to help with that.

My family no not really. Or they could but wouldnt ask for anything. Its income based. Hun. i rang and asked for a copy of my esa. Id been on incompacity since 19. About 300.00 a week bcoz i have grand mals. Then about 6 yrs ago it halfed. Which was when they put me on esa. Which was were i had to go into see them over interviews etc. I bever had to give doctors notes in my life so was all new to me ive been getting 137.00a wk since. Last year i rang because i wanted to know the reason my money had halved. They said i was down as Inberwean on there system. Because id not had a medical. ( not my fault with not being called for one). So then they sent forns to fill did that end of july. Got nedical through for Dec tenth. And last week i had extra money. It had to be that. They confirmed over the phone id been moved into support group. X the DWP toY

The only thing wrote on the Letter from DWP reads.....

 

You were awarded, Employment Support Allowance Income Related

 

Claim start date 7/8/12

 

At a weekly rate of 184.00 .

 

Paid up to 2/2/15 - Live Claim.

For any further enquires contact benefits centre manager

Now does the Start Date 7.8.12 Mean they're telling me, I've been getting that amount all along? Because I Haven't, Just 2 weeks last week
