hi all.

my daughter has received a letter headed :- Debt and Revenue Services, about a vodaphone account that hasn't been paid because of the very bad service and reception she got for about the 3 mths she used it. the letter has written on it that it is a Home Visit Notice. what powers if any do these people have to recover the debt.

regards gripper.

Which company is the letter from ?

This will almost certainly be a Debt Collector - they are NOT bailiffs and have no powers whatsoever. In fact they do not even have the legal right to doorstep you without your permission. So if anyone does turn up - ask them to leave.

Hmm, so they have changed their name ...

Ardent Credit Services Ltd is the new name for Commercial Credit Management Ltd ("CCM"). Our debt collection division will continue to trade as Debt & Revenue Services ("DRS"), collecting both consumer and commercial debts.

Did you make a formal complaint to Vodafone in respect of the poor service/reception or did you just try to sort it on the telephone ?

I would suggest you make contact with Lee the Vodafone rep. He might be able to help you with the issues that started this off.

We here at CAg have a very successful VodaFone Rep operating here

CAG.

I would suggest that if you did NOT make a formal complaint to Vodafone, that you do this now, immediately. Send to their Head/Registered office, by a tracked method and Head your letter - Formal Complaint . Then pop a short note in the post to Ardent or whatever they are wanting to call themselves and advise there is an unresolved dispute in place with Vodafone.

Check credit file

Deal with vodaphone direct

Did your daughter start a formal complaint about the poor service?

Do vodaphone know about this?

You need to deal with this in writing mark it formal complaint

Go through complaints procedure to bring it to a end

This could effect credit file for 6 years!

If i have helped in any way hit my star.

any advice given is based on experience and learnt from this site :-)

hi all.

this is ongoing and was being sorted out by the vod rep lee.

cutting the story short

there were 2 contracts taken out by my daughter and my wife,

who both had the same problems.

my wife who had longer left on her contract got a settlement figure of

if she remembers rightly was about £108.

my daughter is being asked for £227.88 which we don't think is fair. s

o it won't be paid.

if it was around what my wife paid then not a problem.
