Hello All.

I have a CCJ which was registered in November 2009 and satisfied in June 2012. I have been waiting since 4th January 2014 for a letter of satisfaction from Bryan Carter Solicitors. I phoned them today and they say they are still waiting for Co-op to validate the evidence I sent in. Apparently, they will contact Co-op but cannot tell me how much longer it might take.

Does anybody have any advice about what I should do next?

Many Thanks,

Tenant_B

Hi Tenant B

If you have paid a judgment you should contact the relevant county court. They will arrange for the record to be updated and Trust should be told within two weeks. If you want proof that the judgment is satisfied you can ask for a Certificate of Satisfaction, or if you paid within one calendar month, a Certificate of Cancellation.

The official fee of £15 payable to payable to HMCS. Once the court is aware that a judgment is paid, Registry Trust will amend their records and tell all the credit reference agencies (Equifax, Callcredit, and Experian) about the change. You may be able to speed up the process by sending Trust the original certificate straight away. They cannot update their records from a fax or photocopy but will return any original documentation to you.

Satisfied judgments are retained for six years from the date of the judgment. Judgments that have been paid within one calendar month will be removed from their records.

Regards

Andy

I also wouldnt believe a word carter says. If you have the account details, give the coop a ring and ask them to forward the info on.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..
