HII signed a credit agreement with O2 for a £47 a month tablet and phone bundle a few weeks ago. When i got home I noticed that i had both copies of the credit agreement. Can i now claim no knowledge of this and request to see a signed copy of my agreement?I know its wrong but isnt it about time the little lay person got one over the big companies?

Doubt it, there will have been a data trail to contend with, not only CCTV but them checking your credit file would be your first hurdle, then if you paid a deposit, the list goes on, plus it would be a clear case of fraud, which is a criminal offence.

They will be able to lock/track and disable the devices from their end anyway, unfortunately.

Are you sure you have an agreement regulated under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and not a 'service' contract?

Your idea I must say is incredibly stupid and as BB said you will be caught out quickly.

Guys, I think you might have missed that emma says this is a "Credit agreement" and as such should indeed be covered by the Consumer Credit Act :)

CB I'm not sure it is a regulate credit agreement, these 'bundles' are often 'service' contracts.

Still a foolish thing to try imo.

Mobile contracts are never credit agreements, they are always service contracts, therefore don't come under the CCA.

Sorry CB, but i've never come across a moby phone contract to come under a CCA, as far as I have always been aware it is a service, hence why the likes of Lowlells et al like to pick them up as they think they are undefendable..

Unless you want a case of fraud against you and like prison sprouts i wouldn't advise that you try it . You would be found out in minutes , have a criminal record , a credit file that nobody would touch with a barge pole and a phone / tablet which would be totally useless when O2 block them both from their end .
