If the amount of the LO the Council applied for and obtained was incorrect then it is invalid . So the bailifsf can whistle dixie for any fees they think are due to them and I would be suggesting they take issue with the Council to collect them, as it was their sloppy mistake.

I would say pay the fee then argue the toss it would prevent the bailiff from having reason to call, if they then come and mither you for more you can call the police to move the trespassers on.

We could do with some help from you.

The bailiff: A 12th Century solution re-branded as Enforcement Agents for the 21st Century to seize and sell debtors goods as before Oh so Dickensian!

I would concur with DX, pay the £24.50 either into the council, and tell them that it is for Rossendales visit fee for which they are entitled or to Dossers themselves, but they would then start demanding what they think they are owed rather than the actuality. They are like that.

Surely not if the council made the mistake?
