I can't scan the letter which they have sent so I will attempt a good copy. Not sure if it is entirely within the OFT guidelines. Anyhow, not overly worried about them. This is NOT the bailiff side of the company just the debt collection side. I have sent (twice) the "you are not to visit letter) but they have chosen to ignore it. Fair enough.

Just wondering what people think?

you've done your bit

its just a threat

you know w hat to do if they do turn up anyway!

whats the debt all about?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Its for over payment of housing benefit. It isnt for much but they refused the payment offer we made. When we were still claming housing benefit £10 a week was being deducted from the benefit towards the arrears. We offered Rossendales the same. This letter seems to be their next plan of "intimidation". Not sure it can affect my other halfs credit rating either.

And, yep. I know what to do if they come a-knocking ;-)

Thought as much. I don't know how successful they will be at getting a CCJ. I may just start paying £5 a week using the barcode on the letter. They'd struggle to get a judgement against the other half if he is paying something. Plus I have all the letters from them, including the refusal to accept the payment offer.
