Hi

After being made redundant about 4 yrs ago Barclays continued to take a direct debit out of an account I thought I had closed.

to cut a long story short I ended up £230 o/d

I explained to them my circumstances,

but it has now ended up in Mackenzie Halls hands.

I have ignored all their letters which seems to have worked,

but now have a letter offering me an instalment plan of £10 a month, which is resonable I suppose.

My question is what happens if I continue to ignore them?

as I feel aggreived to pay them anything,

as I have a huge dislike for anyone that demands money and threatens court action!

thanks

Two years is a long time hoping to pass the SB mark. If the amount they are asking for seems correct ie with no interest etc added on, then the amount you pay is up to you.

If you can afford £10 fine, if not just send them a letter telling them the amount you can afford and pay them that.

I would continue ignoring Muckhall, if they are chasing this then there is definitely something very wrong with this.

Start the complaints procedure with the bank, and exhaust it, have a read of BCOBS too, that will make them sit up and take notice.

This is simply an OD, which is full off charges/fees & interest, all of which can be reclaimed.

Deal with the bank direct, not this clown outfit!

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

After being made redundant about 4 yrs ago Barclays continued to take a direct debit out of an account I thought I had closed.

so barclays requested a DD from another bank account

or

you banked with barclays, you closed the account

but they allow 'a' DD to continue?

and what was the DD please?

can you expand a wee bit better on this?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
