Philips Cohen Re Littlewoods Debt

Hi, I hope someone can advise please, I had a littlewoods account, but unfortunately lost my job, and therefore due to circumstance I ended up in debt with them.

They have handed the account over to Philip Cohen Associates, who are calling constantly.

I have had corresponded with them once via email.

I accept that I do owe them money for the debt, but there seems to be unbelievable charges.ou

 

Could some one advise as to what to do next,as I really want to get this sorted out.

If you read around this forum you will see that you can reclaim late fees etc

Hi thanks for the replies, Im not sure if I have all the statements, I will check, what should I do if I dont?

Also should I let Philips Cohen know that I am in dispute, and is it correct that they have bought the debt from littlewoods?

If they have bought the debt you should have received a "Notice of Assignment".

 

Also check your CRA file to see which name is against the debt.

 

If you haven't got all of your statements then you will need to SAR Littlewoods to get them.

Thank you, once I work out all the charges, who should I send the claim for them to, as its Philip Cohen whos harrasing me, also should I let Philip Cohen know that Im in dispute about the debt?

Have you checked to see who owns the debt...this will determine how you respond (if at all) to Cohen

I havent checked, I just assumed Cohen had bought the debt, because they keep harring me.
