Hi, well its only just dawned on me that i'm not paying my electricity bill. I live in a house converted into 2 flats. Both flats have an electricity meter. My flats meter is an older one. Whenever i have tried to contact the power companies to get a bill, they tell me that my meter no is not recognised (i cant remember exactly what they said, but they wouldnt accept the number). This was around 1 year ago. I've not tried to sor the problem out since. IThat is all i know really. The meter still works and takes a reading, but as i mentioned before, the power companies wont accept the format of the meter. I'm of course willing to pay any back charges, but i'm starting to get worried about a potential criminal charge for not paying my bills! On another note, i'm worried that my downstairs neighbour has been paying my bill inadvertantly. I'm not sure if my meter is running 'through' his.

I really appreciate the interest and any help that i receive. Thanks very much.

Cheers

Andy
