Hi

Will try and be brief. I have a basic understanding about parking charge notices and that the best thing to do is ignore them. No problem with that.

However.. the car park at my work became a free '3 hours only' recently. I had permit but they have now taken this away. I really want to carry on parking there (8.30am-5pm) because I rush out to go and get my toddler from nursery at 5pm, time is tight. They won't allow me to even buy a permit.

So..if I continue to park there anyway, they will inevitably keep piling on the notices whenever they spot that I have been there more than 3 hours. Worth saying the car is actually registered in my husband's name (he's fine about it).

Can anyone offer any info - does anyone have any experience of anything similar - essentially deliberately and repeatedly incurring these tickets?! Are they more likely to try and take more action due to the multiple nature of the incidences? Thanks very much.

In my opinion, yes, I think they are more likely to pursue (and increased chance of them winning) if you blatantly repeat offend.

You say "the car park at my work...." but is it not owned by your company? who does own it and do your company not have parking authority for it's staff?

Hmm. Car park is owned by the landlord of the building - who also owns the entire shopping complex that it's part of, nothing in our lease to give us any parking places unfortunately - as I say, we used to get permits but they rmeoved them as they want to leave spaces for shoppers, to increase flows.

whilst we all despise ppcs,,if you blatantly continued to park there you have to be leaving yourself wide open to some sort of action, though i am in no way qualified to say this.it may be a case of having to bite the bullet and park elswhere, especially if there is no chance of obtaining permission/permit to park there.i would be worried about the possibility of being clamped, i understand to do this they have to display a sign,,but these people play dirty,,good luck in this.

I wouldn't openly flout the parking conditions more than a couple of times. You might be OK at first, but they can easily hire a clamping firm, stick some signs up, and you're in a predicament when you can't move the car and they want hundreds of pounds from you.
