I bought a NN-E289M Microwave Oven from Dixons on 5th May 2011, and it went up in smoke last Thursday 25th August with a small bang and the smell of fireworks. I have emailed via the 'Contact Us' link and haven't had a reply. Am I wrong to refuse to call 0844 at a massive cost per minute - shouldn't I get a reply from a method that they say to use if you're having product issues?? I'm going to write to Head Office, but can I demand my money back? Is there a better way to contact? They don't sell the microwave anymore.

Thanks in advance.

Hi HJ

Welcome to CAG

The guys will be happy to advise as soon as they are available.

Have a read of 10,12 and 13 in my signature. It might be the case that the Microwave is beyond economic repair. At least with e-mails you have a record.

Mark it Formal Letter of Complaint. Send any letters Recorded.
