Hi all! Ive also started a claim against the Ulster. I filed a claim on the 28/09/06 & i received a letter today 10/10/06 saying that they believed that their charges were fair. I am trying to claim back £1146.00. What do i do from here? Is there a template now that i send off??

Cheers guys & gals, any help would be appreciated :) Thanks!

2nd letter from here:

Unfair UK Bank Charges | legal help from Govan Law Centre, Glasgow, UK

Has anyone EVER taken on Ulsterbank and been successful? What was the turn of events?

I would like to know this also, and hello everyone btw.

Sent my data protection letter on 2nd October & recieved letter today stating that I havent signed it (Doh!) and as it is also my wifes account she should sign too.

In NI can I not claim over £2000?

ulster have paid out cases in the past, but they will only pay once you have filed a claim. they are not going to roll over and play puppy-dog, but they will pay up.

i know of at least 2 definite success stories, and of no-one who stuck at it and failed.

Hi all

Best of luck with Ulster Bank.

Lets say I know someone who has received their refund from Ulster Bank after Small Claims was filed. Ulster Bank ask the customer to sign a declaration before refunding the fees. If your original request for a refund is for over £2000 be very careful with the wording of the declaration that Ulster Bank send you. In the case I am aware of, Ulster Bank have tried to wriggle out of the second request for repayment, quoting the declaration previously signed by the customer. Take professional advice before you sign any declaration from Ulster Bank.

It's your money!

Funnily enough I have a friend as well who the exact same thing has happened to. Ulster Bank do seem to ask you to sign a confidentiality clause, and that you won't take another claim against them. Perhaps this is why success stories against Ulster Bank aren't seen so much.
