Well the hearing lasted 20 mins, and the Judge confirmed what is written above. I was awarded my deposit back and £175 expenses etc.

Well I have asked the Judge to write to them, and he agreed that he would write and tell them to release it to me immediately, the LL has no say in the matter now, as when the DPS knew that court proceedings were in place they suspended the account, so neither of us has access to it.

Just wait and see now how efficient they are at giving me back my money.

  • 3 weeks later...

Well the deposit was paid into my bank today by the DPS, the Judge ordering it on the judgment with the DPS number worked.

Now the LL is pleading poverty and not paying the £175 costs, trouble is....... I know the LL has sold the property now, and that the LL has an interest in a HMO so when I get the court letter saying LL wants to pay in installments, it will be back to court another days loss of earnings £100 and travel of £28.40 LL is gonna regret playing for time.
