advanced telecoms debt collection - are they owned 3 mobile

hi guys

 

i recently had letter's from advanced telecom debt collection services for outstanding amount on my 3 mobile dongle also they have been phoning me as i did wee bit research i found out on website which i cant find again but it says 3 is the parent company of those debt collectors meanin their inhouse also they dont have dca license etc

 

they phoned today to some unpleasant man on the phone he was ****ed off when i said that they were owned by 3 he denies it and i mention i checked company house and credit checked them and states they parent company is 3 he got wee bit peeved and said dont believe anything on the net etc then demand payment then i ask for their license number so i can check as i believe they are breaking law by collecting debts without license needed we said dcas dont need one etc

 

so what i am asking is

 

1 - are they owned by 3 or they indepenant

2- do dca need a license to collect

3- anyone know anything about these muppetts

Advanced Telecoms debt collection Services Limited IS Three UK, and is run from their call centre at 123 St Vincent Street, Glasgow. There practice is to scare and if that don't work, they sell the debt on to a real DCA to collect, usually DLC.

cheers so the website which i cant find was true abt them being 3 just as i thought pity cos monkey on the phone was trying convince me otherwise all he wanted was money lol typical of them i prob just pay them and get rid of them in a moneth or 2 when the contract is up if i can afford otherwise i get default prob

Just say F off and hang up next time before they get the chance to to say anything, they soon stop ringing after that. If it gets sold to Lowell let me know i have a wee little thing going with them

ahhh lol goodluck teaboy2 on that i dont have much trouble with lowell mines is mostly arc and the famous trevor munn or capquest and their fake solictor.

membership being unused on or two payments made

and then a cancellation charge being I'm not sure

but I think this was also a CCA regulated installment agreement.

I was thinking along the lines of the ''gym'' judgment being made

because the contract never or minimally used.

got a lovely phone call from them today - had 15 missed calls from them - they are rude as is 3 itself. Tried to explain had no service from 3 since sept and had taken them to the ombudsman and thats where it should still be. Cant believe that they have rung that many times over christmas - warning USE 3 at your own risk

didnt know who they were - so now I am informed and I did let her know in no uncertain terms that that phone call will be included in the information given to the ombudsman
