If it is a genuine summons then you will have to enter a defence, look for Green and Mean or AL27 either of them can help you put a defence together to maintain a 100% record

I have seen some posters refer to lease cars where the lease company have paid these [problem] invoices, are they able to come to you in turn to reclaim this.

I ask because I have a motability vehivle which has been invoiced three times so far

Thanks

It depends on the terms of your lease.

The only way they can sting you is if the terms say you agree to them paying any charge. I suspect such a term might clash with the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 though.

Of course, the creatively minded might consider invoicing the lease company and reclaiming another way if they're so intent on paying ANY invoice that lands on their desk.

If they apply the same standards to their accounting, as they do to the remainder of their businesses, I'd say that a lot of what they make, never gets to the accounts department!

This morning the OPC invoicing clerk had left his bike parked on the road, wish I had a pro-forma invoice to put on it, funnily enough though my car did not have an invoice put on it

Never seen one. Did like the one they lost on the retail park where they couldn't decide whether they were suing for non-display of permit on a retail park where no scheme exists, or not.

Yeah there is such a permit. Just a blue rectangular piece of paper with OPC written on it, some numbers and a holographic image if the UK. Took a picture of one while snapping evidence of OPC horse poop round an area I have been accused of illegally parking. But yeah they do exist, they are just worthless!
