Received my statements today and have highlighted all the relevant charges (I think - need to check it again and make a spreadsheet). I didn't think it would amount to that much until I added it up and it was just over £2000 on my account and £1130 on the joint account!!

SHOCKING!!

Just need to read up the relevant information again as I'm not sure if I'm supposed to include the interest payments they have also taken off me. So off to do some reading and will then prepare the next step! :D :o

How weird! I received printed copies of my statements earlier this week and yesterday I input all the data into the spreadsheet to sort out my claim. I didn't have the details of my overdraft limits so I worked without that. Today I received 27 letters in the post containing statements for 2000 - 2002 for both accounts (so lots more to come!!). I also had my cheque for £10 returned. Why on earth did they send me the printed statements and then proper duplicates? Oh well, at least these have the overdraft information on them! :D

Everything has come from Ian Shepherd so far so I think I'll direct my next letter to him.

Received another 30 odd envelopes containing duplicate statements today and I've still not got them all! On the plus side these have the overdraft limits on so I can amend my claim (I had to guess some of them). Means my claim needs to be reduced by £12 but I'll just amend it at a later date.

Question, I used the complex spreadsheet and that has the interest on penalties which is the amount over the overdraft limit that they are charging you interest on - those amounts are listing on your statement, usually next to the charges for that month.

Is that the 8% that I shouldn't be adding yet??? I was thinking that was separate but now I'm thinking it's not!! HELP!

I was claiming £838 and settled on £753. It was close enough for me and it avoided the hassle of going to court. Also I have since had no further issues with them which is something I was afraid of (they even left my £500 OD there!) so I would settle on that amount.

The choice is yours tho. :-)

Okay today I got the letter saying that the bank doesn't agree with my contention that the bank charges consititute a penalty blah blah blah. Funny really as they offered me 80% of my claim before sending this letter!

I guess that means I'll be filing my court papers on Tuesday then and adding my 8% interest! Best read up on what I need to do!
