I received an AQ from the court this morning, and also a letter from DG offering the FULL amount!! Signed letter, crossing out the confidentiality clause and posted back today.......shopping spree her i come!! Thanks to everyone for all there help and support, and i must say what a fab website this is, and i will definately make a donation as soon as the money clears.

Hi Chewlips, I was in the same situation as you, then yesterday DG entered a defence on MCOL and then this morning I received a letter offering full settlement. So don't panic, I'm sure you'll get a letter from them within a day or two. If they don't enter a defence then you can proceed on MCOL and you win by default. Good luck!

HELP!! I have just check money claim and HSBC have entered a defence. Is this a stalling tactic or am I really going to court? Am starting to feel a little scared!

I was a bit impatient like you so I called up DG on Thursday just to make sure they had received my breakdown of charges (which i faxed to them on the 19th). I had a call back on Friday to say that yes they had received the fax and I should receive a letter from them mid week, which would be a day late as they have till Tuesday to enter a defense or i win. I think they must be snowed under, bu i'm a strong beleiver that 'good things come to those who wait'!! Good luck!! -
Am getting V annoyed now!!!! I faxed a copy of charges to DG on Thurs 14th Sept after I received a v brief letter requesting a breakdown or charges.........but still not heard aything back and now i'm getting calls from HSBC's hassling me. I have repeatedly told them i will not discuss anything over the phone and i have refused to confirm my security info so they cannot make any comments on my account to me. It's starting to really get to me, should I phone DG on Monday? I am starting to worry a little bit as i'm now only 12 days away from court!! aaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhh

Just a quick update................ I issued MCOL on the 1st September and HSBC acknowledged the claim on the 6th Septemeber saying that they will defend the claim in full, which hopefully they wont do!! As I have not received any correspondence from DG I am going to send them a fax with a breakdown of the charges. As it has now got to MCOl can I still add on any extra charges/interest charges that have been applied to my account or should i just leave the extra (it's only £15 or so). Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Hi Hengo, and welcome!! I, like you was spurred on to reclaim my charges after I got angry at a £121 charge!! Good luck with your claim

Wow, look's like were on exactly the same time line, I got my acknowledgement today as well Good luck!!

I had an offer within 7 days of sending my LBA as did my friend. So they seem to respond quite quickly. Good luck!
-
Hi, The interest is different you can add on the ineterst charged as per the spreadsheet, then you add the 8% on when you get to MCOL. Good luck with your claim!

My LBA was sent 17/8/06 and today I received a partial refund letter offering me £1900. I know from reading other threads that this is a standard fob off letter so I will be sending a reply accepting this a partial repayment and letting them know I will still persue them the the rest. One question though, if anyone can help? When I sent my schedule of charge I included the overdraft interest and in the reply they said: My question is: should I still persue the overdraft interest or drop this and just continue with reclaiming the charges? Any suggestions would be muc

I phoned HSBC to ask if they had received my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request), and was promised a call back. They sent a letter to me as they could not get hold of me and when i phoned them back (07/08/06) they said they had no record of receiving it. The following day I received a letter in the post in reply to my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) dated 07/08/06!!! Good to know that the staff communicate with each other!! They sent me a full set of print outs as requested only to say in the letter that they will send them to me and they will arrive seperately!!?? At least they sent t
