Please could you advise me whether it is advisable to make a payment plan with the companies involved. I have requested from them copies of my CCA thanks to all your helpful advice. I have been sent letters previous to that saying they will issue county court summons within a few days. I have since thankfully looking at your very helpful site asked for the CCA. Should I call them before the time they have given me to respond to offer the amount I can reasonably afford each month. Your advice would be really appreciated.

Many many thanks

Hi scottlewis, it is better to wait and see what your creditors come back with before contacting them, if they cannot supply a valid copy of a CCA, then you would be in a better negotaiting position for offering reduced settlements, if that is the way you want to go, there is a template letter on the letters page, Letter J, here is the link

welcome

What you decided what to do is of course up to you.

However if they will not accept what you can afford then that is a different matter. in the main imho they will come to arrangement.

Please also be aware that the OC can and do sell on debts.

Regards lilly

Hiya

One golden rule you learn on here is DONT speak over the phone with them always communicate in writing.

Good luck

Never speak to them on the phone, send letters, if your not sure post the letters on here before you send them and people will look over them for you to make sure there OK.

The golden rule is NEVER SPEAK TO THEM ON THE PHONE, They WILL lie to you, put pressure on you, try to get you to agree to repayments you can't afford, and deny anything they feel like denying if you do end up in court. If you follow the proven route on here, and ask questions when you need to, you'll not go wrong.

Hope this helps

Jimi
