Not sure if this is the right place to post this but if not I'm sure the administrator will correct this.

I have been having numerous letters and annoying phone calls from lowells, red ect.

I know I have had problems with debt since having a life changing accident five years ago and I was in hospital for seven months.I am now disabled and unable to work ever again. I have explained this to the numerous companies I had credit cards and accounts with with but they keep on phoning ect.

most of the debt actually is the usual bank charges ect

I know my biggest debt was with Lloyds Tsb (which I did post on an earlier thread) and most of that is now made up of bank charges ect.I tried to get a copy of my statements from my internet banking but they shut down my account.I was going to reclaim for all charges and also for all the benefit money they took for charges.

I just found out they cannot take this money but they did.

Another was capital one which was originally for £200 but with charges ect it now stands at over £650

 

 

I normally am terrified to answer my phone and as soon as I recieve letters from these clowns its in the bucket with them.I have also been told in these letters that someone will be visiting me to get payment and discuss your financial position.

 

But after reading some of the posts on here I said enough is enough and decided to answer the phone today.

 

Here is what followed:

 

D.C...I would like to speak with p---- (me).

Me.....Who is calling?

DC.... Its Mike

Me.....Who the hell is mike?

DC... from Lowells

Me.....LOWELLS who?(I knew exactly who they were)

Dc......LOWELLS financial.

Me...never heard of them.

DC......Is that p----- I am speaking too?

Me......Yes it is

DC.......Its about your account with us.

Me.....I don't have an account with you.(which I do not)

DC.....If you didn't I would not be calling you about it.

Me.....I do not have an account with you.

Dc...... Have you not received letters from Lowells/ red ect?.

Me.......Its nothing to do with you what letters I receive.

Dc........We have sent many letters and phoned you numerous times about your account.

Me......I do NOT have an account with you and all letters from you I do not open. (This was a lie on my part)

Me........ I am severely disabled and have great difficulty even opening letters as my left arm is amputated.

Dc......Don't you have a carer who could open them for you?

Me.....I do but she is not here at the moment.

Dc......When will she be back ,get her to open them.

Me......You ARE joking, thats private.

Dc.......I just need you to confirm details about you, due to the data protection act to find out I am speaking to the right person.

ME.......Is that so?

Dc........Can you tell me your full name and address and postcode and your date of birth?

Me.........I do not give that information out over any phone, you could be anyone.

Dc.......I'm Mike from Lowells financial.

Me.......Well,...... Mike from lowells or whoever you are..DO NOT call here anymore asking me personal information about myself, you could be a crook or fraudster,If you do I will report you to the OFT.

 

I then hung up on him.

 

I know I have debts but through no fault of my own, which has been explained to all companies involved.

It just seems they are all ignorant of the facts and get these bullying companies to chase after you.

Well no more, what are they going to do jail me?

 

I am as soon as possible going to get an answering machine and tape all these conversations.

While typing this my phone has rang four times in 30 minutes.

 

God, it felt good doing that.

Time to take control over my life again and stop all these annoying harassing phone calls.

To date not one person has visited me, I can't actually wait till they do (if ever) They will be told in no uncertain terms where to go.

DON'T EVER SPEAK TO THESE MUPPETS ON THE PHONE!!! - - That's rule NUMBER 1!!!

 

Next, you can send them this letter to stop the phone calls:

Don't worry, no-one will come calling at your house, they will threaten you with this to get you to pay them money.

 

If they say someone is going to call then there's a letter to stop that too.

 

These "people" have no more rights in law than you or I... they will try to convince you that they are legally entitled to your money, possessions, the LOT... THEY ARE NOT!

 

When did you last acknowledge this debt or make a payment against it?

 

Lowells, specialise in buying up debts that are almost statute barred or almost statute barred i.e. no payment or acknowledgement of the debt for 6 years or more.

 

Don't worry, many of the people here at CAG have been in the same position as you are now and have managed to beat these bullies!

Lowells are full of hot air. They have threatened me with all sorts of grief but when their bluff was called like all bullies they ran away. Glad to see you were able to control the conversation with good old Mike from lowells.

I used to full for this, when companies phone you up and ask security questions etc like DOB, name, and address.

 

They dont like it when you say

 

"Why do you need to confrim security when you are infact calling me"

 

and then refuse to disclose the info

 

then say

 

"Did you receive my letter on XXX date

 

Well, you will know from that latter you should not be calling this number.

The bloody mood I am in just now I could strangle someone.

I have had a motability car for the past three years and after re-applying earlier this year have been refused twice (now going to appeal council, details posted on Disability forum)

Worse still my car goes back to dealers tommorow.

This is just one of their idiotic postcards that they post out to try to get people to call them. It was delivered by your postie so how would the Leeds Losers know whether you were out or in. Hold on to the postcard as its a clear breach of OFT guidelines. It will form a part of any complaint you decide to make against these clowns.

 

They sent me loads of letters saying that their laughingly named 'Licensed Field Agents' had called at my house. In actual fact no one called at my house from this bunch of muppets.

The calls stopped for a few weeks then started again the other day.

They are now leaving me automated text calls, with the usual.....You MUST call lowell financial immediately on the following number.

Just received a letter from these clowns today,

 

Hamptons legal, same company as Lowells and the same address and phone numbers.

Your account has been passed to this office for attention.........

(the tea-boy probably passed it to the next desk).

 

A home visit agent was instructed to visit you but unfortunately was unable to make contact.

Lying sods!

I am disabled and have been nowhere apart from my local shop twice in the past two weeks for at least five minutes both times.No-one has been to my house.And if they had I would have told them to F _ _K OFF!

 

He must be a secret agent.......There is a couple of trees outside my house, maybe he was camouflaged............Nah! the trees are more intellegent.

 

Unless an acceptable repayment plan or agreed settlement is in place within seven days legal proceedings may commence.

 

Go ahead take me to court you will get nothing from me.

 

Then the usual....... extra payments will be added, you will have a county court judgement against you, ect.

Finally if a judgement remains unpaid we could apply to the court for enforcement action against you which may entail future applications to......

Instruct a bailiff who could then remove goods from your premises

Payments be deducted from my salary by my employers.

Do not ignore this letter and contact us on 0113..........to resolve this as a matter of urgency.

 

What a load of bollocks! (excuse my french) I do like the way they say.....MAY.... do this/that.

After reading this forum, I now know that no Bailiff will even come to my house (Just their secret agents)

A bailiff from the court can only come to your house if its a outstanding fine or council tax. (correct me if I am wrong).

As far as I have read, their secret agents (field agents) LOL, Have no power or right of entry to remove anything and I do not even have to acknowledge who I am or let them in.

 

As for taking money from my salary...........What bloody salary, I have not worked for five years (see my other thread in Special needs/Disability).

And I never will be able to work again.

What are they going to do ?.....Take my Incapacity Benefit money.

A judge would just laugh at them.

I told that last prat (mike from Lowells) who phoned me I was disabled and don't work.Also that I do not have an account with them.

There is more chance of faries living in the bottom of my garden than getting any money from me.

Oh sorry. ...They work for these bunch of Muppets.

 

I can see how these threatning letters could easily worry a lot of people but thats all they are.......they are full of wind.

I won't be losing any sleep over this garbage.

I am sometimes tempted to call them pond life and such other unmentionable phrases but that would give the game away and they would realise that I know exactly who they are.

But its so much fun to wind them up and refusing to acknowledge who I am they can't do a thing.

I used to be petrified to answer my phone, but now I always ask who is calling first.

I must make up a list of questions to ask them, for the next time they call.

Red have a winding up order on them , they should have been shut down don't worry the SFO are investigating them and Lowells

Thanks to all the information and posts on here I soon realised they have no rights at all.

I just wish I had found the CAG sooner, but better late than never.

All these DCA.s must hate this website.It's not come soon enough to expose the way some of these DCA's threaten and harass and demand payment for debts they have bought for pennies.
