Hi there, Demon is right counsellors are quite used to their clients being upset - it is all part of the process needed to overcome the fear and upset - in a way it's a kind of grieving. While you may be unsure of taking part in counselling you should really give it some thought - it can have a very positive effect on your way of coping with your current situation.

Your doctor will be able to arrange the counselling for you, talk to him about it and he will be able to explain how it could help.

I hope you can get the support you need from your employer - they have a very real duty of care in respect of the type of job you do and they should be pulling out all the stops to make you feel comfortable regarding your future with them.

Keep posting on here and we will try to support you as best we can.

Kind Regards

Ell-enn

Hi Linnylou,

I'm with the others - the point about counselling is that you can cry, sob, talk, be angry, upset, scared or whatever with someone who is there, just for you, to listen and to help you recover from this.

Your employers should provide this for you without question (your rep can help with this if you want). You should try to get counselling as soon as you can and as often as you like - it has to be your best way forward.

Come back anytime and good luck with this. :)

We could do with some help from you
