  1. I have emailed Ernest Jones to state the situation, though I understand the credit is with hitachi, I mean I'm not entirely sure what I can do other than cancelling and trying again, there doesn't seem to be any signed on trader premises clause.
  2. Hi, I recently purchased an engagement ring with ernest jones on finance, the finance is provided by Hitachi finance. I placed the order on saturday and since then i had a look on their website and the price has been reduced by 20%, i havent collected the ring yet but i have paid the deposit and signed the agreement is there anything i can do, because this is very annoying??
  3. i lived there years ago before i moved to england, i took the payday loans out but i never put my old home address in the application, which is why I'm now really confused….
  4. Hello, i have got information from all three credit reference agencies and i have been declined for a mortgage for having used payday loans and having a CCJ, on noddle the CCJ states that it would be gone in june, so although it shouldn't be there at all i have been told it will disappear in a few months so i don't think there is any point pursuing it. However the payday loans i have on my file our listed as the wrong address, is there any way i can use this inaccurate information as leverage to removing my pay day loan history from Experian and Noddle?
  5. Wonga have replied saying they cannot remove any correct information. They will be getting a letter about a default they have placed, which i had no idea about. Is there anyway i can ask them to remove all information based on this default?
  6. Hi thank you for your reply, yeah thats what the mortgage advisor said. So I am hoping i can do some damage limitation for the future. At the time i had been borrowing money and paying it off each month but borrowing more as each time i had to borrow more. It ended with me owing them 1,222 pound which was more than 100 pound over my take home salary at the time. I had emailed them several days before my payment date and after some wrangling entered a 12 month payment agreement. I also have taken out loans with Lending stream, Quick Quid and Payday UK. The Latter (PDUK) i also had a payment agreement which was for 6 moths and i had contacted them prior to the payment date, they didn't register a default just an orange mark indicating it was up to one month late. Im guessing which regards to the other PD lenders there is no way to ask for them to remove the information? As they were for relatively small amounts. Our plan is to take out a credit card and use for small amounts and pay in full each month. My partner is much better with money so this will be her responsibility.
  7. Hello, My partner and i recently applied for a mortgage. Some things i was aware have came up and declined us. We are now going to hold off and save larger deposit and try to sort some credit issues. My Partner is fine with a credit score of 860 and no adverse credit. Me however is a different more long story and i am just after some helpful advice on how to move forward. Firstly i have a credit rating with experian of 797, noodle shows 1/5. On my experian some of my accounts show twice, is this a standard way of reporting or will this affect my score? Also i have taken out several payday loans in the past the most recent was in 10/08/2014 all my accounts are marked as satisfied and settled. However there is a Wonga payday loan which is marked as default as i requested to enter into a payment agreement, which i did and paid off. However a financial advisor said i should write to request to have the default removed, i have several templates that were given to me to pursue a letter writing campaign, he said it may not work but it may work, worth a try i suppose. The other thing i was wondering is it possible to perhaps write to the lenders or there CEO's and ask (beg) to have the information removed from my credit file? again i know it is a long shot and don't know too much about legislation etc but if even one of them is off it would help. The reason for the decline was for the payday loans. If someone could help me at all with this i would really really be grateful.
  8. Hello my situation is as follows. I have recently managed to pass the 6 year mark on most of my two relatively small debts. I have a CCJ that was paid but remains unsatisfied on my CRA that is just over 5 years old. My partner and i are looking to apply for a mortgage we have as a deposit £17 - £20,000. I was thinking about the CCJ and i remember years ago i was sent a letter by Northumbria water threatening to take it to court and i managed to prove that it had been paid. Could they have still sought judgement on this? I have no paperwork left to prove that i paid it, but it was at a time when i was living with friends in student accommodation and because they were late getting their chunk and i didn't have the full amount we got the late letter and CCJ threat. I would ideally like this to come off my CRA file but at the least have it satisfied, i was annoyed that it is in just my name as their were 4 names on the account. I would appreciate any help and advice in how to move forward so that my CRA file can be in its best state applying for a mortgage.
  9. Hello again, with respect to the Lowell situation, 'Red' have sent another letter saying, "if I choose to pay the full balance they will offer a 30% discount, and if they don't receive payment in 10 days they will pass it to hamptons legal." I'm aware that hamptons is just another name of Lowell, but the offer of discount seems pretty strange to me? I was also curious as the only mention on my credit report of barclaycard is the Lowell entry, does this mean that it will come off my report 6 years from the date of the original default in 2008 or from Lowell's entry in 2012? I'm in the process of challenging PPI from an alternative account so would I also be able to pursue a similar case with barclaycard? Or should I just leave it be? Irishson
  10. The Lloyd's account goes as far back as 2007 on Noddle and the earliest entry on Noddle is September 2007 which says behind, and it was marked as closed in November. The Lowell/BC will only go back as far as oct 2012, which originally I thought was when they might have purchased it, but in their original letter it stated the purchased it in 08/09.
  11. It only lets me go back to 2012 with the Lowell entry and it's £600 consistently with a default on every month up until now, there's no info pre 2012?
  12. The last payment I remember was 2006/2007 but I really can't be too sure as I haven't kept any info from it because it was a while ago. I think the last contact was somewhere in the region of 2007.
  13. I have moved a few times, so I personally haven't received any letter from BC, I did get a letter last year from Lowell introducing themselves which had the Barclays logo on it, the letters from Lowell have been coming since about a year ago, it went Lowell to red then I moved and Lowell to red again, I haven't had any contact with them other than their one side letters. As for the Lloyd's overdraft I haven't received any requests or information from them or any company in relation to it.
  14. No I've never asked for it or seen one. It was a Barclaycard because I took it out through a stand in a shopping centre?
  15. The credit card was taking out in July 2005. The last letter I got from Lowell/Red was fairly generic, simply saying they will access my cra to see if they can make me bankrupt, but the letter itself says only if the debt is over £750, so they already contradicted themselves. The OD, info simply says Lloyd's, by the default no other information as to who has it?
  16. My credit card was with barclaycard, and the balance is £600, so the last letter I got from red said if I ignore they are assessing if the can make me bankrupt although it says in the letter that the debt has to be over £750 for them to do that? The overdraft was with Lloyd's no idea if it's with anyone else, it was £1600 but the Noddle balance is £2227, so around £600 in charges I'm guessing. Should I pay through Lowell?
  17. Hello all. I have been getting the occasional letter from Lowell now over the past couple of months, well over a year and they're onto Red Collect Blah Blah. It's for a credit card I had years ago, now I checked Noddle last night and I have a default every single month on my file from Lowell! I wasn't even aware they are able to default, but the original default was in May 2008 so if I bide my time to May does this mean it should come off my credit report because by then it will be 6 years old? Also if I were to pay it off in full will it still drop of my report in May as it still would be 6 years old? Also I have a debt for an overdraft on my report which will be 6 years old in November so just to check does this mean it will come off in November as I believe it's 6 years from the date of the original default which was in November 2007? Any advice would be great! Irishson
  18. Hello all with the help of this forum I' e managed to pay off two large payday loans as of today and break the cycle!! However the final payment on my wonga loan was due today! 19. Hello i know that this may not be the place to put this, but my computer wont let me create a new thread, so if someone could maybe put it in a new thread. I am currently Moving house and wanting to take scottish power with me so i dont have a large bill to pay upfront, but when i applied to do it online it said i need to reapply for my services but it calculated my monthly payment at 124 pm whereas im paying 72 pm at the minute and i cant afford a 50 pound increase. Does anyone have advice on what i can say to them to get the price down? A friend said i should just tell them because it will even out over the summer they should keep it as it is?
  20. Hello i have a bit of a problem where wonga are supposed to collect on the first of every month, its now the 5th and they havn't taken anything, i have had no email or phonecall from them and i dont know what i should do, because the money was in the account???????
  21. hello not sure where to post this as i cant find any of my posts or how to post a new thread, i've noticed that the address i have down for two payday loan companys was completely incorrect but i put it down i just must have not thought (that im paying off monthly)and want to know am i able to amend this via my credit report even though i put the new (wrong) address on my account via there website?
  22. Hello quick few questions regarding my payment plan, obviously its going to go down as a default on my credit score, but i wondering a few things 1) is a payment plan with a payday loan company an IVA? 2) do they put a default on your file for every month that the loan is outstanding even if you keep to your plan? 3) as i have two payment plans with two PDL companies how badly will that affect my credit score as im saving for a deposit for a house? i'd greatly appreciate any help with these questions?
  23. it was definately them as i have had a look on my statement, basically the emailed me saying saying they could accept my offer, and a payment was needed immediately to place the account on hold and could i confirmed the last 4 digits of my card number and expiry, so i transfered the moneyu into the account and emailed them to tell them, then within 15 25 pound was taken and they emailed me saying my payment couldnt be processed so i then emailed and said that its because they had already taken 25 so they are only authorised to take 21.89 and they took the full 46.89 so they have had 71.89 they have stop there collections since but should i complain or is it not going to get me anywhere, they have accepted my payment plan though?
  24. Sent them an email with a paragraph copied from another user on here which made them accept my payment plan, however i transfered money into the account to pay them the exact amount and the took 25 pound straight out im guessing that was there collections payment trying to still take the smallest amount out, and then i had to transfer more in so the have now taken a payment today of 71.89 is there any point in me chasing this with them?
  25. Hello so i've finally had an email from them, asking me to send my income and expenditure again as if i'd never spoke to them, having sent it off proposing my off they sent a counter offer of 56 over 5 months which i could afford however they said i cant start it from october as the first payment would be needed immediately and that they couldnt hold the account without payment, now i know im right inasking that it start in october as it would take me a few weeks to get my finances in order and i did mention it to them 3 weeks ago in the first place is there anyway i can say this professionally and sternly to them?
