Automated credit into Barclays accounts

Hi All

Was wondering if anyone has experience of this ? I have called Barclays but they don't seem to understand what I am talking about. Great start to a new banking relationship !

I get paid monthly, on the 28th. With my previous account at NatWest, if my salary was due on a Monday, because of the weekend, the credit would show up overnight Friday and be there Saturday morning but dated the Monday. I could draw against these as cleared funds no problem.

Barclays don't seem to be able to give me an answer on whether the same thing happens with them. Today is Friday, the 28th is Monday but all I want to know is will it appear tomorrow? Relatively simple question I thought.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the answer please? My employer pays salaries using BACS.

If you are paid on the last working day of the month then payments in will appear before a weekend or bank holiday and debits will be taken out after non working days.

This goes for all banks as long as the Bacs arrives in time.

Thanks for the reply but I am not quite sure what you mean. I am paid on the 28th of the month, each month, not the last working day.

So this month, the 28th is Monday so are you saying initially that my Barclays account will show my salary credit tomorrow because there are no BACS runs over weekends ?
