Wescot are currently pursuing me for £39 they say I owe BT (I don't and have a letter from BT to that effect), so am enjoying myself with them. Given the immensely amateurish look of their correspondence (an old model of Threat-O-Matic, perhaps), I was surprised to see on their website that they think they operate to "the highest professional standards", and are "focussed on an ethical approach to collections". To help the staff remember, they have special tee-shirts:

Fancy being called Mrs Commercial; poor woman, as if living in 'Ull wasn't bad enough... :)

I'm struggling very hard not to make a joke about professional pie-eating, but am determined to maintain an ethical approach, just like Westcot.

ICO complaint filed with regards to a breach of the DPA by processing data without my consent and not removing inaccurate date.

Hopefully it's pretty clear cut, 6 months on and I've had NOTHING back from the CCA - no agreement, no default letter, no deed of assignment - but they keep insisting they can do what they want.

We'll soon see.

I can only assume someone has eaten Sarah's chair...no prizes for guessing who.

HAVE YOU BEEN TREATED UNFAIRLY BY CREDITORS OR DCA's?

There you go I just couldn't resist the "challenge"

The full set? I think not. You missed this little chap, clearly hiding somewhere (probably along with 'honest' and 'polite':

I note that none of them are showing their hands properly; single palmar creases, I'll wager.

I like their approach. Maybe CAG should get some T-shirts printed.............

"S10 Data Request - Please conform"

"Where is my F**king Agreement"

"Consumer Credit Act 1974 - Please Read it!"

"Are you in breach...........I think so, no more dosh for you then"

"its the FOS/TS/FSA for you matey!"

etc............................................

Monty - LMFAO:D - I'd buy ten at least :D (would be interesting showing ten T-shirts at £5 a piece on my income and expenditure sheet to the DCA's!!!!!!!!!!) hee hee hee

Well... Credit where it's due, they're quick!! Hand written kiddy scrawl lets it all down though! Wonder which one of the professionals is responsible for this then?!! I do seem to remember asking for a lot more than just the agreement though! But for a change, it's nice that they've actually acknowledged a request for the agreement instead of playing silly games!

That is completely different from the letter I got.

For what it's worth the ICO replied to me today about the unlawful CRA entry Wescot added, they wanted evidence of the entry - hopefully this means a swift kicking is due to them.

Wescot have now responded to my letter (see post 27) - they have returned the file to their clients. Unsurprising, though slightly disappointing that they didn't want to play longer.

Time for Wescot to order some new T-shirts: USELESS

ps: sorry for the hijack, Dave. Now, fly this thread to Beirut...

Still nothing to report. In default, offence on 01/10/2007.

Payment not yet stopped but will be on 02/10/2007!

Their standing order is due on the 7th. This is for a lot of money!!

Maybe Clarity Jane should be looking a little bit more worried...??! :D

Best, Dave.
