We are making a claim against Halifax plc who cashed our £10 postal order but hav now sent us a cheque for £10 on the basis that, due to workload, they cannot comply with our SAR within the 40 days.

They seem to think this releases them from their obligation to comply with the DPA!!!

Setven4064,

It is not your problem that they have a busy workload, tell them that the clocks ticking and they have to comply by Law.

Did you send the SAR Recorded Delivery, if so check to see if it has been signed for?

Thanks nannamoon

Yes I know that, I was just amused that they thought sending the money back would release them from their obligation. (but then, Halifax were also the ones who, when we complained that taking charges from an account whose income came solely form benefits was illegal, responded with "we can't pay them back because that wouldn't be fair on other people that pay charges!!!)

THey have another think coming!

I think they need a shake up in their legal department!

They (Halifax) will be getting a shake up when I take them to court for Fraudulent Activity on my Account, they have lied so much, that this week I am going to prove to them that I have an email attachment that they sent me in error, which shows all the evidence to prove that they are trying to cover up...

Halifax if you are reading this, you had better think hard because you will not be able to hide any more...
