Hi,

have looked through the posts but cannot seem to find anything regarding mortgage company charges.

Have been on incapacity benefit and been unable to work for 16 months and fell behind with my mortgage payments,i have been 2 months behind for the last 12 months and have been charged £30 a letter every 10 days to say i am late on my payments,i have each month questioned the amounts ,and they say they are computer generated and cannot do anything about them.

I am looking at getting my bank charges back through this website and am going to see if the same happens with my mortgage company when i send them the same letters asking for my excessive charges to be returned.

On none of my mortgage yearly statements mention any charges on them.

Has anyone either done the same or could give me any advice...

thankyou for your time regards dale

Hi Dale,

£30 charge ..that is a penalty the same as a bank Charge in my opinion.. I would handle it the same way as a bank charge..Unlawful charge etc..
