Hi all, 

Thank you so much to anyone that does help! 

I parked in a car park I have used sparingly over the last few years. Historically, as long as you paid before midnight there was no penalty. I did not read the sign anew, error, I know. I don't have a picture of the sign but apparently you have to pay in first 10 minutes. 

Before leaving the car park, I paid for a full 12 hours, having only been parked for under 3 hours. 

I have now received a PCN for £60. I feel this is unjust since they did receive payment before I left their premises, for more than I used. 

Do I have a leg to stand on? Attached PCN & proof of payment.

Also don't worry too much about this one. You paid, they got the money.

They wouldn't dare put this in front of a judge, but it unfortunately won't stop them sending loads of threatening letters, hoping you'll bottle it and cough up...

I thought that too, there's usually a shaming pic included. Ultimately, I'm not disputing I was there, I just feel being fined for paying for parking when I paid before leaving, when it isn't a 'pay and display' parking lot seems very unfair. Should I appeal or just ignore?

its not a FINE.

a private car parking company can never FINE anyone.

it's a speculative invoice because the driver possibly entered into some imaginary contract with CEL as CEL may have an contract to look after parking with the landowner.
