Supermarkets sell us products as fresh which I believe have previously been frozen then thawed for sale. As consumers we should have the right to know this and it should state "Previously frozen" on the packaging. This particularly applies to cheese which crumbles when sliced if previously frozen but should apply to all food products.

Hi SG and welcome to CAG

Cheese may crumble depending on it's type and maturity. Cheese is normally a long-dated product which I believe is not usually frozen by supermarkets prior to sale.

Morrisons for one Supermarket  usually indicates this on meat packaging, with a "Previously Frozen" wording, and a "Good To Freeze" on the label if it is indeed fresh.
