Phoned UB in Belfast about my statements, reckon they havent recieved my first letter that it went to Dublin!! They told me to ring my local branch, i phoned and the girl says nothing there for me. Then about 2 hours later i recieved a call from a guy in Belfast in customer relations, he said sorry about the delay but they couldnt find my letters, and could i leave a letter from my husband allowing me to handle the account without him into my local branch.

Hey Shovey

I received my first letter from them in weeks today (although have had two phone calls) I must say though my statements came quite quickly about two weeks i think.

I have had a good will offer of 90 quid which i have accepted as part payment of monies owed. Surely as your name is on the joint acc you should be able to deal with anything without an authorisation letter?

A development has happened. Got my statements on 13/12/06 went through them ant the charges came to £2428.50. Sent my LBA off on 14/12/06. I checked my ulster bank account online and there is a deposit of £270. The bank is calling it unpds refund. Does anyone have a letter for partial acception of this please.

Hi Shovey

I know its not what you wanted but at least £270 at this point should take the sting out of the festivities. Just make sure to write and tell the bank that you consider it to be a partial refund of monies owed.

I have lodged an online claim against ulster Bank today 12/01/2007

Total charges £1997.50

Interest £415.28

Court costs £62

Total claim £2474.78

Did you lodge your online claim with small claims court in N Ireland or with moneyclaim online, cos someone told me that you can only claim up to £2000 in small claims court.
