Would the solicitor be in contact with me to ask me to pay back and threaten them with court action?

If a proper solicitor contacts you, they should follow a pre-action protocol. They must do this to avoid wasting the courts time

If they did, they may offer you the opportunity to come to an arrangement to repay what was stolen in manageable amounts and I am fairly certain that the amount claimed will be much lower that what RLP are demanding.

In my opinion, if a solicitor did contact you, this is far more preferable to RLP writing to you as they have a duty of care. Having said that and the rest above, until something happens, you and we don't know what will happen.

So there you have it, RLP are fleecing chancers, trying to imply their unenforceable bill is akin to a fine.

We could do with some help from you.
