Hi everyone.

We recieved a response to the SAR request from Paratus

and they have sent us a disc containing the data.

The letter that they've sent is a bit confusing,

if I uploaded it on here just to make sure that aren't trying to cover something up.

Many thanks for any advice.

Kind regards

Angnnig

Yes wel sort the disc as soon as we've figured out how to access it , which doesn't look straight forward.

We were just wondering what they meant when they said that the loan is not subject to the provisions of the consumer credit act and if they are trying to get out of being held responsible for PPI charges.

Mortgages are not covered by the CCA 1974 but regardless of that, any ppi claim wouldnt rely on the cca 1974 anyway, if it was mis sold, it was mis sold.

I've finally managed to download the account information from the disc

and added up all the late payment fees which come to £2,195.

They have a lot of fees called (Non payment by DD) at the rate of £15 ,

could these be claimed back too ?

And can the unpaid direct debit fees of £30 be claimed back ?

I can't find any PPI charges.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I've just done a quick tot up. If I use the spreadsheet does that calculate the interest too ?

I've found property insurance that the mortgage made him take out as he didn't have his own. Could this also be claimed ?

Many thanks

do you mean building ins?

if it was already in place it doesn't need repeating.

but if it wasn't, then it must be

but it doesn't have to have been through them

Hi Dx , yes buildings ins. Thanks for your advice and link , which of the spreadsheets would be best to use ? Thanks

And of course the contractual interest rate in cell D15.

Some have trouble using the spreadsheet, especially in openoffice, but what i found was that if you put the date of each charge in the box in the "american" format, ie, 11/29/2006 for 29th november 2006. it then works everything out for you

ah that's because people omit to change their country/region in openoffice to the UK

and run it simply from 1st download

before they download the spreadies.

nice spot martin.

i'll remember that one.

I only tried it by chance and it worked, tho as you say dx, if the format was changed from US to UK that would have the same effect and the UK date format could be used

just to follow on from this for those using Open Office.

Go to Tools on the upper left when you first open Open Office.

Click "Options" from the drop down menu

In options, go to "Language Settings".

Within Language Settings, change anything there from "English(Usa)" to English(UK)

click "OK"

Exit Open Office.

You should then be able to download the spreadsheets and complete them using the uk date format, alternatively, leave it alone and use the american format as described above
