Tesco..Contaminated Fuel?

Hi - New member here - A5 3 litre, entire fuel system ruined through contaminated Tesco diesel, current quote for repair at Audi, £8k - interested to learn if you reached any conclusion with Tesco?

Can you prove you got the contaminated fuel from tesco?

 

EG Reciept, engineers report?

What was it contaminated with.... petrol, water or other contaminant ?

How did you pay for your fuel Credit Card?

If you picked up contaminated fuel, it will be in the paper. Tesco (et al) all big companies, recieve a tanker delivery and fill whichever tank. They do not have SMALL tanks, so if they have bad fuel, everyone in the area will have bad fuel.

 

Where are you? What Tesco?

Why are you putting Tesco fuel in an Audi???

 

Anyway, too late now.

Have you had the rest of the petrol in the tank analysed?

If not, that would be your first call.

No point telling Tesco that you want 8K for contaminated fuel if you can't prove it.

In 10 years and hundreds of calls to check contaminated fuel, this was the only one that I found. Tates were absolutely fantastic and paid for every car to be fixed. It went as far as to send recovery trucks to cars that didn't even know they had a problem.
