It would normally be inappropriate to visit a customer at the customer place of work or at a hospital where the customer is a patient.

When contacting a customer:

(1) a firm must ensure that it does not act in a way likely to be publicly embarrassing to the customer; and

(2) a firm must take reasonable steps to ensure that third parties do not become aware that the customer is being pursued in respect of a debt

 

And then of course there would be a breach of data protection if they were to give any details to your employer.

Well im off work... So yes, as others found out about who they are after a google search. but they dont think they have breached any DPA issues. I dont know what was said, I just wondered. I spoke to them on the phone and all sorted as I have an open case with them about Virgin...

Formal complaint to their Head/Registered office would be in order I think, fkofilee - then escalate it to the Ombudsman.
