Hey guys,

About a week ago I got a text saying I need to call C R S on a number and

I thought nothing of it, thinking it was something like PPI or the works.

Today I got another text saying I need to urgently call them today,

so I called them on my dinner break, was put on hold for 10 minutes so hung up.

After a quick Google I have found a lot of people have problems with them.

However I signed up to a 12 month contract at the gym, and cancelled it via direct debit once my 12 months were up.

(It was probably more like 15 months after).

I didn't go into the gym to cancel as I moved away from University and no longer needed the gym.

These letters they have sent I never received as I don't live there no more,

I have sent them an e-mail asking what the problem is.

Any more advice?

Ignore them. I wouldnt bother.

Powerless DCA, if youve completed your minimum term and cancelled your DD with one months notice then that should be enough.

We could do with some help from you.

I didn't cancel with notice, but I did complete my contract.

Hi Buckoxx and welcome to CAG

Harlands and CRS are the same outfit. They write as CRS when they want to pretend they are a separate collections company.

Do not answer the phone to them. If they call you, tell them "In writing only" and hang up.

See this thread as a similar example - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?430864-Harlands-and-CRS-problems&p=4593628&viewfull=1#post4593628

The letter in post #6 could be adapted for your own case, so you offer to pay the one month's notice that you should have paid when cancelling. They're unlikely to accept this offer and will insist that you pay loads more in m/ship fees plus admin fees.

Make sure you give them your current address, so they can't take court action (highly unlikely) against you without you getting the paperwork to defend.

Let us know how they reply to your email.

We could do with some help from you

I gave them my current address in my original e-mail to them, I have replied to their e-mail asking why I must ring them and what fees are owed against me, if they have proof could they please e-mail it over. I guess ill be waiting another 2 week for a reply...

Hi Buckoxx.

Ignore their demand that you contact them for now, but let us know when they contact you further.
