Hey, j

ust wanting a bit of advice really.

I have dealt with this company before.

they were collecting a court fine.

I was under the impression though that they only collected HMRC debts and CCJs?

I have had a letter from them this morning about a loan I took out a while back for around £900.

I am actually currently in negotiations with the loan provider about lowering my monthly payments

Does his collectica letter now mean the loan provider has taken me to court whilst pretending to be interested in lower payments from me?

If so, I have had no letters about attending or anything :/

no they have a DCA wing

you should see a complete lack of the word BAILIFFS.

they used to be Phillips

and were well known for trying this trick

implying they were writing as BAILIFFS when in fact

it was their no powers DCa wing.

I believe they were actually carpeted for doing so too.

claimed it was a dual purpose letter

and an admin eroor to 1000's of debtors over 2,5yrs...yea ok!!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thanks very much.

As its just a normal dca.

.do you reckon its worth trying a F+F settlement with them?

I'm trying to erase all my debts and have decided that this is probably much easier, faster and cheaper in the long run than setting up a DMP.

not unless they will remove the default.
