Good Afternoon

Can someone advise me on this matter....

I got a letter last week with the following

" A n Office Interview Has Been Arranged"

We would like you to attend an interview at :

Why it is essential that you attend this interview : It is essential you attend this interview and bring documents requested in this letter with you to the interview, this interview has been arranged bcause your circumstances may have changed and we need to ensure your payments are correct.

So I am disabled and was in the WRAG group, I appealed and heard nothing but did receive a letter in December saying my benefit had changed to support group, which meant i had won my appeal. However I got this letter last week and i have called to ask more about the interview as my husband will need time off work to take me.

I am concerned this is that someone has reported me? Does anyone have a letter with this content and any news on what the outcome was?

Thanks

A

Compliance interviews can be arranged for a number of reasons, and most folks on this forum who've had them report that they were not too much trouble and the interviewers are usually quite friendly, or at least cordial.

It won't have anything to do with your successful reconsideration/appeal, as that's not something that Compliance would look at. It seems some claims are selected at random for these checks. It is also possible that someone has reported you for something, but if so the fact that it's Compliance looking into it suggests that the DWP is not taking any such report particularly seriously. They have to check into all reports they receive, but if they really thought you'd done something badly wrong, it would be a separate team, the Fraud Investigation Service, who'd be dealing with it.

Antone is the expert on this and thank goodness! I had a compliance interview and the person was quite friendly but it had been because someone had reported me. I think if you are reported for something and there is no concrete evidence, the `compliance interview' is all they can really do unless you give them a reason for further investigation in the interview.
