After you 1st sign on, can be 3-4 days later

I thought I read that it is paid in arrears in lieu of your job searching. Therefore you sign on in the first instance and they tell you what you need to do to search for jobs. You are then given 2 week appointment, during which you search for jobs. At the appointment in 2 weeks time, if they are satisfied with your job seach, they then put the JSA payment through, which is received about 4 working days later.

So if you have just registered and have had only one appointment to register the JSA claim, you may be waiting more than 2 week to receive any money.

We could do with some help from you.

Ur 1st appointment is to process claim then appointment to sign on, after ur 1st sign on they should tell u when ur paid, or you can ask them, u are paid in arrears like with most benefits, and yep can be waiting more then 2 weeks for money,

A while back when I lost my job as a single mum of one it took 6 weeks to get any money of them!, but a lot has changed in 8 years, if you need money in emergny you may be able to apply for help from job centre
