did he know about it

did he goto the court

best idea might be to contact the court and ask about a redetermination/variation order?

so's it comes out of their benefits? as a small amount each time?

is this the current yearly waterbill, seems very high?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

as long as its the WATER COMPANY that got the CCJ?

not some fleecing DCA

i'd get him to ring the court and tell them what has happened here

he is on benefits

so they will advise what to do and what forms he need

and prob send them too.

just remember

passed years water debts are NOT A PRIORITY debt[unlike gas/electric]

so this can be treated just like any other 'debt' ccj.

minimum amount over max years.

I take it the debts were not outside of 6yrs?

the court should easily recommend how to sort this.

Do get a variation sorted ASAP as water companies are often quick to enforce - especially if the debt is over £600 (they can instruct high court bailiffs if this is the case).

Right ........Interesting afternoon

Northampton bulk centre

I don't think I have had such an empathic court man. He's.sending out all the paperwork and will make sure its done ASAP.

Said to phone Water company other end of scale :mad2:

Need some clarification ....

Is it now a priority debt,

I queried that, and was told it is.

Queried again and answered because if they could cut off they would.

Can they take if from ESA because that is the threat

They will only accept £15 per month which is way above available income.

the fact its been to court it needs paying

still does not make it a priority debt as such

there are set levels regarding benefits & CCJ's

I think it used to be £3.40 but it might have gone up now a bit.
