Hi

Few months ago i borrowed a loan to pay for my car as it was in the garage and needed the extra cash to pay for it as i rely on it for work, i have always had loans not with payday firms but with banks etc, Last month i came out of work due to redundancy and still waiting on my redundancy money from the firm i worked for for 10 years.

Obviously now i have screwed my credit rating but thats the last thing on my mind, i borrowed £150 off these idiots back in May and made contact with them as soon as i received my redundancy letter which was in the middle of May i had no reply off these people whats so ever i have emailed dozens of times and still no response off them, 4 weeks later this person called Zen Young kept pestering me by text message and email until i give him a mouthful which he didnt like and told him its not the fact your chasing the money its the fact your now emailing me with threats after i gave you plenty of time about my current situation.

He told me to fill out and I&E which i glady did and only offered the minimum until i land back on my feet as now i can only claim JSA and all that goes on bills.

I filled that out 3 weeks ago and heard nothing off him emailed them a further two or three times and still they do not respond.

I have always been told only speak to them by email, i feel that i am getting no where with these cow boys they ring me about 4 or 5 times a day spam my phone with text messages

here is the last 3 i received.

They claim that they want to help you but actually make your life 10x harder with all the grief you get.

Are they allowed to just send a collection agent to your door without sending it to a DCA first ?, i feel i would get more sense and a response out of a DCA

Is there anyone i can complain to as i now sick and tired of threats and constant phone calls and text messages, i have tried my part they dont seem to cooperate.

File those texts with the OFT as they are a blatant breach of OFT guidelines.

Please, contact the OFT and make a complaint.

This has raised my blood pressure.

I may have to lay down.

What next from the legal loan sharks.

As the others say-

Consumer complaint form

The OFT gathers information from consumers regarding their experiences with payday lenders. If you would like to provide us with details of your experiences, please complete and return the complaint form below.

Please note you are only able to save changes to the complaint form if you have the full version of Adobe. If you do not have the full version, please print the document with your changes or print the document and complete it by hand.

The information you provide will be used to assist the OFT's ongoing monitoring of business practices in the payday lending sector.

If you noticed the changes i made to the above link.It was because i was trying to find the latest one.

This was on the OFT report issued yesterday.

Maybe you would like to read it.

Just in case

The OFT report-

Update on progress 30 July 2013

And maybe this may help

How do I complain about a particular business?

You can contact the Citizens Advice consumer service (www.adviceguide.org.uk - making a complaint or 08454 04 05 06) for advice about how to complain about a particular business. They will be able to direct you to regulators such as Ofcom, local authority Trading Standards Services or other bodies who might be able to help.

I have never seen that before.Threatening.

And guidance on dealing with doorstep knockers for debt.

I believe it is

Go away ,after three times of not doing this call the police.

They are trespassing.

Maybe say i will only deal with the company you are collecting for or hoping to by letter.

But in my case they have always left.

In fact at one time i used to wait for them.

Look forward to having a word with them.

Such was the pressure of debt.

I must add this.In my case they were all ok

Just doing a job,pay the rent etc, same as us.

The newspapers last time i looked were advertising for them.

Maybe it is not a popular job.

The government is now calling on consumers to assess lenders.

The government is keen to show that strong action will be taken in light of recent negative publicity but many households affected by payday lenders’ high interestlink3.gif rates will want more than a chance to fill out an online survey.

The survey, which aims to check on the industry’s progress in meeting government standards, includes questions such as: “Did the lender let you make the decision to extend the loan without pressurising you?”

Let them know about the paydaylenders.

Maybe also, take a look at this.Even listen to it.

New payday loan survival guide by mike dailly-govan law centre.Just press.

And if you have one cancel the CPA at the bank if you have one.

Till this is sorted.

Otherwise they will keep on trying to hoover money out of it.

Enough i will now go and cool down.

Good luck Tawnyowl
