I have added 500MB more to my allowance in July 2012,

which I have cancelled less than a month later in August 2012

while speaking to one of the customer services advisor on the phone.

I made a complained about being charged for 2 month upfront and they offered £5 as a good will gesture

and said the service is cancelled.

I have recently went through my bills and noticed that I have been charged additional £5

for the extra 500MB each month since July 2012.

I have called CS and explained the situation, they looked into the account history

and said there's no record of a call in August 2012, so there's no proof I have cancelled.

They refused to refund the extra charges, but offered £5 as a good will gesture.

I asked to speak to a manager, which I was told wasn't available at the time, but I would get a call back in 48h.

I didn't received a call back.

By now I am owned £50 plus the good will gesture money I was offered,

I have read other Vodafone threads and have emailed the vodafone rep with link to this post.

Any other advice on how to handle this?

Many thanks

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

yep, always make sure vodafone itemise your bills and write to them with any problem - don't rely on customer service doing what they say they'll do or making notes on the account as in my experience some don't tell the truth - They added a service that was not requested on mine and charged me £10 a month for it even though it wasn't being used. I didn't notice it for two years as amount was dwarfed by my spend at the time, and it took ages to get the money refunded.
