Just after some advise guys.

I had a loan with Black Horse which I defaulted on about four years ago but recently had an offer to settle at 50%.

If I accept will this stay on my record for six years from now or from the date of the original default?

All advice much appreciated.

Yes that is correct, it might be worth your while asking Black Horse to remove their default, as part of the settlement, use the money as a bargaining tool

Yes from the default date, was it Blackhorse or a Debt Collector who offered you the discount.
